What is Sienna?
Sienna is an award winning, professional tanning range, which tans upon
contact with the skin. The result is no streaking or patches and an even
wear off.
Why use Sienna?
Sienna allows you to achieve a natural looking, flawless tan within minutes.
Tanning is completely safe and eliminates the harmful risks
associated with overexposure to the sun. Sienna is gentle on the skin and
contains 100% natural DHA (active tanning ingredient). It is also free from
alcohol, parabens and suitable for all skin types.
Is Sienna suitable for everyone?
Sienna tanning products are suitable for all skin types. The formulation
adapts to individual skin tones, meaning your tan will look natural whatever
your colouring. All Sienna tanning products are suitable for men and women
with the Liquid Tan especially good for men as its thin texture
glides on easily and does not stick in body hair.
Does Sienna smell?
We have carefully formulated our ingredients to ensure Sienna does not contain
any overpowering smells - it is practically odourless.
Do I need to moisturise first?
Moisturiser can act as a barrier, therefore you should not moisturise immediately
before tanning. A small amount of moisturiser, however, can be added to
areas of dry skin such as elbows and knees to avoid the tan clinging and
appearing darker. It is important to exfoliate before tanning. Also bear
in mind any waxing or shaving should be carried out at least 24 hours before
applying the tan.
How soon can I dress after application?
Sienna will dry in as little as 5 minutes, so you can dress immediately
and get on with your day.
Does Sienna stain clothes?
Should a small amount of tan transfer to your clothes, it will always wash
off. For application you may choose to wear dark underwear, however disposable
underwear will be provided within professional salons for spray tanning.
Will Sienna get darker?
Your Sienna tan will develop slightly over 6-8 hours.
When can I wash?
Washing and vigorous exercise should be avoided for at least 8 hours after
application. Pat dry, do not rub!
How long will He-Shi last?
Your Sienna tan will fade naturally and last for approx. 5-7 days. It is
important to moisturise daily to ensure an even wear off.
Does Sienna contain sunscreen?
No. Sienna products offer no protection from the sun. It is recommended
to apply high factor sunscreen over your tan when your skin is exposed
to the sun.
Contra-Indications
Sienna should not be applied over eczema, psoriasis, cuts or abrasions.
If you are pregnant or are concerned about skin allergies, please check
with your GP before tanning.
What is DHA?
The active ingredient in self tanning products is Dihydroxyacetone (DHA).
It is a non-toxic substance that reacts with the amino acids in the outermost
layer of the skin and produces a brown pigment (colour) called melanoidin.
DHA is a simple carbohydrate made from sugar beets and sugar cane.
The DHA doesn't go beyond the outer layer of skin and therefore isn't absorbed into the body.
What are Parabens?
Parabens are a class of chemicals widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic
and pharmaceutical industries. There have been some reports that parabens
can cause reactions to some skin types which is why all Sienna products
are completely paraben free.
Can Sienna be used during pregnancy?
It's recommended to avoid the use self tanning products in the first trimester
of pregnancy due to changes in hormone levels, which can make allergies
more likely.

Is Sienna tested on animals?
No. Sienna products are not tested on animals.
